James is a Partner within EY’s Financial Services Organization. He leads EY’s Insurance market offering in Ireland and has international responsibilities for Sustainable Insurance.
James has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. He specializes in capital and risk management for insurance and reinsurance companies. He leads projects on strategic and operational review, risk and governance systems, hedging and risk management of guarantees.
Over the last three years, James has redirected his focus and energy to driving forward EY’s sustainability agenda.
James is a qualified actuary and is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland. He holds an MA in Management Science and Industrial System Studies from Trinity College and a diploma in Corporate Governance from UCD.
He is also a client relationship partner, as well as a program facilitator for EY’s recently promoted senior managers and Associate Directors.
