Markus leads the Private Equity sector at EY-Parthenon across Western Europe, and is a key member of the Private Equity sector leadership in Europe.
Markus has more than 25 years of experience in line management, strategy consulting and portfolio management. Most of his career has been supporting private equity funds and their portfolio companies. One focus is operational due diligence and the identification of operational value-creation potentials of companies in a transaction process. Following this, he supports private equity portfolio companies in realizing their value creation potential.
He studied in Germany and Japan, after his first roles in the machinery industry, and moved to a strategy consulting firm. There, he led the Performance Improvement practice at the European level, and was a member of the European leadership team. After working in the management of portfolio companies and advisory board mandates, he returned to consulting when joining EY-Parthenon in 2019.
