As EY Americas Sustainability Leader – Audit Services, Herb leads ESG reporting efforts for Assurance, helping audit clients prepare for new climate disclosures including ESG assurance, pre-assessment and gap assessments.
Herb is a senior audit partner in Ernst & Young LLP’s Oil and Gas practice with more than 30 years of experience working on a range of accounting and auditing matters. He has deep knowledge in a range of topics impacting the sector, including oil and gas accounting, energy trading, derivatives, hedge accounting, consolidations and structured finance.
Herb previously served as EY Americas Energy Assurance Leader. He was also regional leader of the Climate Change and Sustainability Services practice, and a resident member of the firm’s national accounting standards group in New York.
Herb has a BS in Accounting from Oral Roberts University. He is a CPA in Texas and Oklahoma, and a member of the AICPA. Outside of work, he is on the boards of the Boys and Girls Country of Houston, and Theatre Under the Stars.
