Alex has over 25 years of audit and consulting experience with a focus on the oil and gas, power and utilities and agricultural sectors. Most recently, he was the Energy Leader for Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe and Central Asia.
Beginning in 1997, Alex spent nearly a decade in the EY Audit practice, followed by two years at Duke Energy. He returned to the firm, where he spent over 15 years with the EY EMEIA Energy Assurance practice. In October 2022, he joined FAAS as the EY Commodities Markets Leader.
Alex has extensive experience in integrated audit engagements for large multinational public and private companies. He has comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS, internal control systems, accounting and financial reporting and financial instruments. He consults with clients on complex issues, including accounting for derivatives, and supports sustainability strategy and business model innovation, IT-enabled business transformation and supply chain projects.
