"Texas is known for favorable business conditions, and I’ve seen firsthand innovation take off in my backyard. Each year I jump at the opportunity to interview Dallas-based companies making waves in the financial services sector for the firm’s Entrepreneur Of The Year® Central Plains Program. I’m also a big believer in building community though connection. My favorite way of developing these relationships over the years has been with my mentors and mentees in the Banking Women’s Network."
▉Life
"I channel my competitive energy into running marathons around the globe. This goes hand in hand with my favorite charity, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). I’ve run three marathons on the JDRF charity team and get a step closer to helping cure Type 1 diabetes (T1D) every time. My EY colleagues generously support these ventures, and I’ve also made connections with teammates personally impacted by T1D."

Strengthening communities
Building an inclusive culture
Supporting entrepreneurs
EY Ripples, our global corporate responsibility program, provides EY people with opportunities to use their knowledge, skills and experience to positively impact millions of lives. Through our support for the next generation and impact entrepreneurs, we extend the value of EY knowledge, networks and services to people and places we might not otherwise reach. In Dallas, our people are strengthening communities and creating shared value for the business world by supporting three areas of focus:
Supporting the next generation workforce by helping young and underserved people to develop the mindsets and skills they’ll need to find and sustain meaningful work
Working with impact entrepreneurs to scale small and growing businesses that are driving progress toward the UN Sustainable Development Goals
Accelerating environmental sustainability by adoption of behaviors, technologies and business models that protect and regenerate the environment while unlocking economic opportunity.
Action-oriented employee resource groups — what we call EY professional networks — provide stimulating opportunities for all our professionals from diverse backgrounds to form a community, connect internally and externally, create informal mentoring relationships, and strengthen their leadership skills. Our professional networks include:
AccessAbilities
Black Professional Network
International Cultural Exchange Network
Latinx Professional Network
Pan Asian Professional Network
Professional Women’s Network
Today’s Families Network
Unity — the EY LGBT+ Network
Veterans Network
We also offer support groups, including Parents of Children with Special Health Care Needs and Caregivers Circle. We encourage and support our people who wish to start new groups. Also, it is important to note that you do not have to self-identify to participate in our professional networks — they are open to any and all EY employees.
In Dallas, EY has been intentional in its support of entrepreneurial, high-growth companies for nearly 40 years, recognizing that success, growth and leadership require an entrepreneurial community that is willing to create sustained momentum, equity and opportunity for all the trailblazers out there. We bring together visionary leaders across North Texas through three signature initiatives, including Entrepreneur Of The Year®, Entrepreneurial Winning WomenTM and, more recently, the Entrepreneurs Access Network.
The United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, Dallas Regional Chamber, The DEC Network and EY leaders envision a stronger, more equitable Dallas – one that leverages the city’s rich history of entrepreneurship and innovation to foster access to education, resources and opportunity for all.
