EY US Political and Legislative Leader

Public policy professional with a deep understanding of the Washington legislative and political arenas. Works with key stakeholders to formulate and execute on the firm’s policy initiatives.

John is a Political and Legislative Leader with Ernst & Young LLP’s Office of Public Policy in Washington, DC, shaping the firm’s public policy priorities and engaging with congressional offices, federal agencies and key Washington stakeholders. He is a subject-matter professional with deep knowledge of the legislative and political processes of Capitol Hill.

John works with teams across practices and service lines to consider how policy developments will impact the firm and the profession, particularly at the federal level. He formulates and executes on the firm’s main policy priorities.

John brings many years of experience to his role. He spent a decade in key legislative roles on Capitol Hill. After leaving the Hill, John managed the advocacy strategy of a financial services trade association before joining the EY organization. 

John holds a JD from Georgetown University Law Center and a BA from Georgetown University. He is a graduate of the Harvard Leadership Program.
