Seeds of opportunity: cultivating growth in the all-island economy

Economic Eye provides an all-island economic forecast and commentary for the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Produced by Dr. Loretta O’Sullivan, EY Ireland's Chief Economist, and the EY Economic Advisory team, the report offers insight into the current economic environment as well as an indication of what’s to come for businesses in a complex marketplace over the next 12-24 months.

It discusses the recent challenges faced, from a global pandemic and the war in Ukraine to the cost-of-living crisis and focuses on how all-island resilience, continued growth and employment, and moderating inflation are all causes for optimism as we move through 2023 and beyond.

“Growth is in store for the two economies on the island of Ireland in 2024. Inflation is on the retreat, interest rate cuts are in prospect, and labour markets remain warm.”
