In our comment letter , we commend the FASB for its thorough and thoughtful approach in deciding which financial reporting topics to add to its future agenda. Now that the Board has completed many of its major projects, we believe it has an opportunity to consider its direction for the next few years and recommend that it focus its efforts on (1) completing critical projects already on its agenda, (2) monitoring implementation of recently completed major projects, (3) addressing key areas identified through the invitation to comment process with targeted and achievable standard-setting projects and (4) continuing to prioritize outreach initiatives and enhancing communications of feedback received.
