Transfer Pricing - A truly dynamic career

Transfer pricing is somewhat unique amongst the tax disciplines, still in relative infancy as a part of the Irish rules and in a constant state of flux with changing guidance and shifting international standards.

Having initially studied Finance at Queen’s University Belfast, and spent my early career interning in banks, transfer pricing was an alien concept to me when I originally found my way into the industry – however has proved to be a dynamic and engaging career choice with significant scope for growth and expansion.

Many people worry about specialising in a niche service offering within professional services, however transfer pricing offers you the ability to draw on a wide range of expertise and experience, and the opportunity to develop skills and gain knowledge which is applicable in a broad range of functions. Transfer pricing in EY has allowed me to become exposed to a wide range of industries and work with some of the most impressive companies you could hope to work with. From aircraft leasing, insurance and banking, real estate, hotels and leisure right through to chicken feed manufacturing – we do it all!
