Proud to belong

No matter who you love or how you identify, you have a right to feel safe, valued, equal and proud.

At EY, our 2SLGBTQIA+ community is a strong, vibrant part of our organization. We embrace intersectionality and allyship and empower our people to be their authentic and best selves.

Through Pride and beyond, we create opportunities to bring communities and allies together. We spotlight courage, celebrate history and recognize contributions in many ways through our: EY Unity professional network, supplier diversity programs, partnerships with groups like Canada’s LGBT+ Chamber of Commerce and the EY Ripples program — which creates connection points between colleagues and allies, and supports 2SLGBTQIA+ owned businesses.

We’re building a better working world by providing the freedom, understanding and support to individuals, business and communities to create an environment where everyone belongs.

Lindsay Swanson is courageous. Ally of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Chair of EY Canada’s Unity professional network. Surrogate for a gay couple. When the pandemic took hold, Lindsay found herself acknowledging her privilege. She wanted to become a surrogate specifically for a gay couple, knowing they were limited in ways to build a family. Now, Lindsay says her surrogacy journey continues to fulfil her and has contributed to her own sense of belonging — within an organization that supported her every step of the way.
