John leads more than 20,000 audit and financial and reporting professionals. He is responsible for Assurance services in the Americas, including Audit, Financial Accounting Advisory Services and Forensic & Integrity Services.
John previously served as the Assurance Managing Partner for the Southwest Region, which comprised 14 offices across nine states.
He is laser-focused on innovation and quality, as well as maintaining relationships across a wide range of stakeholders, including with our regulators.
John also demonstrates an exceptional commitment to our partners and our people and to their development as complete business professionals. With a deep, cross-sector client service background, John has served as coordinating partner and senior advisory partner for many Fortune 500 companies, as well as numerous startup and rapid-growth companies.
John began his career at Arthur Andersen in 1992 and joined the US firm of Ernst & Young LLP in 2002, where he became a partner in 2003. He earned a BBA in Accounting from the Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston.
He resides in Houston with his wife, Julie, and their two children, Kendall and Jack.
