Mick Moroney is a Tax Partner for Ireland Financial Services. His work covers international tax and transactions advisory, with a sector focus primarily on aviation finance, asset management and private equity.
Mick joined EY as a graduate and has worked for EY both in Ireland and in New York, where he served as the Irish lead on the EMEIA financial services tax desk for two and a half years, advising US and North American clients
He has broad experience in designing and implementing international and domestic structures.
He also regularly advises clients on aircraft portfolio acquisitions and disposals, capital market transactions, debt raisings and restructurings and securitisations.
He has spoken at industry events on the impact of international tax law change on aviation finance and asset management, as well as contributed to publications such as IBFD.
Mick holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from UCD. Mick is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ireland and an associate of the Irish Taxation Institute. He is a member of Irish Funds (IF) Domestic Tax Working Group.
