I am Ghanaian by nationality but grew up in South Africa. Having worked in Audit for over 10 years across South Africa and the UK, I moved to Belfast in 2021 to further my career development and take on a new challenge.
EY is an organisation that really focuses on its people. I recall when I was at university, listening to EY representatives explain their purpose and culture. I wanted to experience this for myself, and I am excited to see this focus has not changed after all these years, and that everyone at EY has the chance to shape the career they want.
I work with people from every nation, it inspires me. I love working in Assurance because we are such a tight team. I get a chance to travel and build great relationships. Every department touches audit, from innovation to forensics.
Working at EY has helped me have a broader understanding of inclusivity, having the opportunity to work with teams across the USA, Scotland and London. I have learnt so much from those around me, and we truly work in a diverse and dynamic team. I really enjoy living in Northern Ireland and my colleagues have been a big part of my journey here, having been so welcoming and supportive. I work with an awesome team.
