Public sector consultant, policy wonk, cider aficionado.

Ashley Challinor is a Senior Manager in EY’s Government & Public Sector Consulting practice and is the national lead on housing policy and regulation reform. Prior to joining EY, Ashley served as Assistant Deputy Minister, Policy & Research, for the Clerk of the Executive Council in the Government of Manitoba.

Her career includes time as the Vice President, Policy, at the Ontario Chamber of Commerce, editing a local newspaper in Tbilisi, Georgia and with the Migration Policy Institute in Washington, DC. Ashley holds an MSc from the London School of Economics and Political Science, an MA from the University of Southern California and an HBA from the University of Toronto. 

How Ashley is building a better working world

Ashley is building a better working world by supporting government to address the root causes of the housing crisis. Her work has helped a major social housing provider improve their funding environment, and she is currently developing a model to guide fiscally sustainable municipal growth.

In her personal life, Ashley serves as the inaugural Chair of the Board of a housing advocacy organization in Canada.
