EY expands UK insurance business with new Partner appointments

EY has announced the appointment of two new UK Partners as it continues to invest in the growth of its insurance business.

Elizabeth Armstrong joins EY’s growing Manchester office, and follows the recent appointment of Aran Mustafa, who joins the London office.

Elizabeth will lead a team to support UK insurance clients with global tax compliance and reporting activity, and brings 20 years tax industry experience. She has with deep sector knowledge and expertise in complex taxation structuring amidst policy and legislation changes, and joins EY from Royal London, where she spent seven years as Head of Tax. Prior to this, she held a variety of tax specialist and managerial roles with Royal London after joining from Deloitte, where she initially trained as an auditor before being seconded into a tax role.

Aran Mustafa will take on a key role leading EY's Specialty Insurance Tax Practice, working across the sector’s established organisations and start-ups. He joins EY from KPMG, where he spent 12 years providing international tax advice to the insurance market.
