Adam Naiman

Infrastructure and health economics specialist. Practical policy advisor. Former speechwriter. Adequate piano player. Pretty good cook.

Adam specialises in developing financial and infrastructure solutions that support and enhance health and social sector service delivery. He utilises a diverse skill set, which includes healthcare policy experience across three countries, macroeconomic analysis, and systems thinking, to create innovative solutions for the sector.

For nearly two decades, Adam has been a trusted adviser in and to Ministries on some of the most significant health and economic issues in Aotearoa New Zealand. He has led more than ten successful social and health services and infrastructure investments, provided commercial leadership, and economic policy guidance on the Canterbury earthquake recovery. He has also supported a Māori-focused response to the economic impact of COVID-19. Early in his career, he contributed to policy advice for the programme that would become the model for the Affordable Care Act.

Adam has held significant project and programme governance roles, particularly in the infrastructure sector. He holds a Master of Public Policy from the London School of Economics and degrees in Political Science and Economics from Lehigh University and the University of Canterbury.
