Hiroki Matsumura has over 30 years of experience in auditing, financial regulation and governance, including a three-year assignment in the UK, and is a long-time contributor to the advancement of audit quality in Japan’s financial sector.
Within EY, he has held key leadership roles such as EY Japan Financial Services Leader, Senior Executive Managing Partner and Financial Services Division Leader at EY ShinNihon, gaining broad experience in organizational transformation, talent development and brand strategy.
Outside EY, he serves as a board member of Japan’s Financial Accounting Standards Foundation and has contributed to the development of the country’s accounting standards. He has also supported leadership development and currently serves on the board of the Japan Foundation for Accounting Education and Learning.
He is a Japan-qualified CPA and previously chaired the Financial Product Accounting Committee of the Japanese Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
