Her career focus has been on the audit of wealth and asset managers and funds (unit trusts, open ended investment companies, private equity and listed funds including real estate investment trusts). During this time, Sue has worked closely with most of the top UK asset managers and third-party administrators. She has led several WAM advisory projects covering a range of topics from technical and regulatory issues to control environment reviews.
How Sue is building a better working world
“As Head of Financial Services in national markets, it is important for me to look beyond our network and work with universities, sector organisations and the government to make sure the sector has the skills it needs now and in the future. I believe that as stewards for the sector we must build on what we have now for the next generation. I also believe that it is important to recognise the huge positive societal impact the sector has and that by pulling our efforts we can have an even greater impact on our communities.
Combining energetic, emerging talent with enviable industry experience is vital to support a fresh wave of growth and as a member of the First Minister’s Financial Services Advisory Board, and board member of Scottish Financial Enterprise it’s great to be part of that collaborative strategy and mindset with a key goal of building a better future for generations to come.”
