Craig joined EY UK’s Law structuring business in summer 2019. He specialises in large-scale, cross-border corporate reorganisations, group simplifications, intra-group contracting, joint ventures and technology-enabled new operating models. His clients include corporates, entrepreneurs, regulators, state-owned entities and wealth funds.
Craig has been a corporate lawyer in private practice for over 26 years, variously living and working in the UK, Shanghai and Hong Kong. His overseas experiences have given him valuable global business and cultural insights. After working for a magic circle law firm in London for several years, from 2008 Craig was a partner and senior lawyer in another Big 4 firm, the last six years of which were spent in Asia in roles including global M&A Legal Network Leader and the China & Hong Kong Head of Corporate Structuring.
Craig is dual qualified in English and Scots law. He has a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) degree and a Diploma in Legal Practice from Edinburgh University, a Master of Laws degree from Cambridge University and is a Scottish notary public.
