Carol has over 30 years’ experience in guiding individuals and families in all aspects of US tax. She understands international tax issues from a different perspective, as she has lived in three countries. She is a US Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and provides both US and UK advice on personal tax issues, as well as associated business and trust issues.
She assists individuals who have fallen behind in their tax compliance or learned of obligations only recently. Her tax specialties include the taxation of pensions, foreign tax credits, expatriation, and taxation of US nonresidents and green-card holders. She also leads the Tax Technical team within the US/UK Cross Border Tax Services team — whose primary role is to provide technical support to the wider firm.
Carol holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Business from the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota.
How Carol is building a better working world
“On a day-to-day basis, I apply my extensive technical knowledge to provide quality services, personalised for private clients. Working directly with individuals allows me to understand how tax issues and reporting impacts their lives and decision-making, and where we can add value to them as they deal with complex cross-border tax issues.
I am also committed to developing the knowledge of our team. I encourage collaboration, and help set up an environment where people feel comfortable asking questions and are engaged in all aspects of our work.”
