EY helps clients create long-term value for all stakeholders. Enabled by data and technology, our services and solutions provide trust through assurance and help clients transform, grow and operate.
At EY, our purpose is building a better working world. The insights and services we provide help to create long-term value for clients, people and society, and to build trust in the capital markets.
EY-Parthenon Transaction Strategy and Execution (TSE) supports clients with the development, evaluation and end-to-end execution of their transaction strategy. Our teams help clients to prioritise investment, quantify and implement portfolio optimisation opportunities, and identify M&A targets to help achieve full potential.
TSE supports M&A activity across the whole transaction lifecycle, including rapid transformations between transactions

Operations
The TSE Operations team provides complete transaction life cycle support, from due diligence through to helping clients achieve effective integrations and separations. The team also provides value creation services, helping clients to identify and deliver the right business improvement levers.
Our TSE Technology team comprises three focus areas: Deal Tech, Cyber and the Software Strategy Group. We assess the entire technology ecosystem and its the key role in M&A transactions. We influence key deal decisions by helping clients to evaluate key technology risks and value creation opportunities.
The TSE Operations and Technology teams work with differing focuses to identify risks and unlock value across all areas of the target business

After registering, we'll be looking to learn all about you. It’s where you enter your personal details and experience.
When filling out your details, please read the instructions carefully and provide all the details of your qualifications.
Finally – it sounds obvious – but don’t forget to proofread your answers before submitting them.
Applications for the Summer Internship Programme will close on 6 January 2025 All applications will be reviewed after this closing date and not on a rolling basis.
Please note that all stages of the application (including the online assessments) must be completed by the closing date

Overview of online assessments and where to practise
As a part of your application process, you will need to complete both the online assessment portal and a numerical reasoning test. These are both accessed through our job portal.
Once you have completed your application form, you will be asked to complete the EY One assessment. This stage is broken down into two sections, some of which is timed:
1. Critical Thinking – This section assesses your critical thinking and decision-making skills. It contains different sections and types of questions, each with clear instructions for you to work through. You can spend as long as you like on each question as this section is not timed.
2. Numerical Reasoning – You’ll be asked to perform some calculations based on the information provided, so you may want to have a pen, paper and calculator to hand. This section will record the time you take to complete the questions but does not have a time limit. On average it takes about 20 minutes to complete.
This assessment needs to be completed in one sitting. We estimate that it will take approximately 30-40 minutes to complete both parts.
Critical reasoning tests measure deductive and inductive reasoning skills, the ability to detect assumptions, evaluate evidence, and draw valid conclusions. Critical reasoning tests may include components like analogies, logical puzzles, and evaluating the validity of arguments.
Numerical reasoning is the ability to understand and work with numbers in a variety of forms, such as currency, percentages and ratios. It refers to both an individual’s mathematic ability and their ability to logically analyse numerical information. This test uses hypothetical scenarios and data to provide context to the question. There are different types of questions — for some you have to pick one correct answer, others you have to rank, and some you’ll have to insert your answer.
Before taking the assessment, please click here to view the “top tips” numerical assessment guide. Remember that you can always access our EY Student Assessment Practice Hub here to practice a number of assessments, including a numerical reasoning assessment, at any time.
Please ensure you are ready to complete the live assessment in one sitting as you won’t be able to return once you exit.
You will not fail your application based on this assessment, rather it forms a part of your broader application which we will review once applications close.
o To make the most of the assessment we recommend that you:
o Use a computer or laptop, rather than a mobile or smartphone.
o Set aside some quiet time to complete the task.
o Have a calculator, pen and paper at hand.
o Use Internet Explorer or Chrome. Avoid using a Mac as this can cause issues.
Practice as many numerical tests as you can prior to this stage. There’s lots of guidance, tips and examples online. These tests measure speed and accuracy so we’d strongly encourage you to practice.
If you require any adjustments, or do not have access to technology or the right setting to complete the online parts of the process, you can call us on +44(0)800 289 208 between Monday and Friday, 08:30–17:30 UK time, or email our Student Recruitment team and we'll be happy to help.
Once you have completed the application form and all online assessments, you will then be automatically moved to a holding stage whilst we wait for the application closing date to pass so we can review all applications together.
Once you have completed the application form and online assessment, you will then be automatically moved to a holding stage whilst we wait for applications to close so we can review all applications together.
Please note that applications are not rolling as such we will not review your application until after the closing date:
TSE Summer Internship applications close on 6 January 2025
TSE are not recruiting for any full-time positions this cycle
Candidates who are successfully selected for interview will then go through to the first stage of interviews, which will mainly be case study-based.
If you are successful in the first round, you will be invited to a final interview round, and will include a CV-led interview with one of our Partners.
Interviews will either take place virtually or in person depending on availability.
After the final round of interviews, the recruiting team reconvenes to extend offers to successful candidates. Unsuccessful candidates (both at first and final round stage) will be given the option to receive tailored feedback from one of their interviewers to help guide them in future applications.
If you are successful, you should expect to receive an offer within a few weeks of the final round interviews.
Summer Interns will join for the Summer Internship Programme which runs for 8 weeks through July and August 2025, looking to join full time in 2026 if they successfully receive a full-time offer.

We operate an open access policy, meaning we don’t screen out applications on your academic performance alone. You will, however, need to be working towards an honours degree in any subject, have a minimum of grade 4/C GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths, and three A-levels/Five Highers (or equivalent) to be eligible to apply.
We welcome applications from all academic backgrounds and are looking for individuals who will succeed at EY-P in the desired role and future qualifications, therefore throughout our recruitment process your academic performance will be considered against your online assessment scores to determine your suitability for an EY-P role. We are also proud to partner with RARE recruitment, so that your application can be processed in the context of your socio-economic background. This allows us to give you the maximum credit for your achievements, assessing whether you have overachieved in light of your personal circumstances.
Our Operations programme is aimed at final-year university Bachelor’s and Master’s students, pursuing a variety of degrees and with an analytical mindset.

Yes, we welcome applicants from all backgrounds and do not have strict degree-specific requirements. We are an experiential learning business and will provide you with plenty of training, education and on-the-job learning opportunities to help you develop the required skillset to progress in your career. When you join as a graduate, you will have a two-week induction where you will receive business and competency specific training to help you kickstart your career in TSE.
We operate an open access policy, and we don’t screen out any applications on your academic performance at A-Level or Degree alone. However, you will need a minimum of grade 4/C in GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths to be eligible to apply.
We’re more than happy to accept applications from people who have already graduated. However, please note candidates with significant years of work experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis to ensure they are appropriate for the programme or need to be considered for the experienced hire route.

When applying, you should be on track to achieve, or have achieved, an honours degree in Summer 2023. All course elements of your Degree or Masters Degree must have been fully completed ahead of your start date.
Summer interns
When applying, you should be on track to achieve an honours degree and also be in your penultimate year. You can also apply if you’ve already graduated with an honours degree but are doing a one-year master’s degree or taking a gap year from September 2023. Due to UK policies, you must be based in the UK for the entire duration of the programme.
Yes, if your application is unsuccessful at any of the assessment stages, however you'll need to wait to apply again after six months from the date you were rejected out of the process. When you apply a second time, you’ll need to use a new email address because of restrictions in our system.
If you are rejected from any stage in the process, in line with our policy, you will need to wait six months before making another application to a student vacancy. You will also be required to declare on your application that it is your only application in a six-month period.
For those who successfully receive a full-time job offer we are able to sponsor work visas.
For the summer roles unfortunately, we are not able to offer sponsorship if you do not already have the right to work in the UK. Effectively if you are not a UK resident you will need to be attending a UK school on VISA which allows you to work over the summer period.
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, but we expect that you are able to use English as the working language.
During the application process, our online form has a dedicated section where you can tell us if you have a disability, are neurodivergent, or have a long-term health condition. You don’t need to tell us what this is in detail, as we are only interested in the support or adjustments you might require through the assessment and selection process.
If you receive an offer, again you’ll have the chance to tell us about any disability and/or long-term health condition, if you want. We can also arrange for someone from our dedicated HR team to discuss what you need in the workplace so we can support you. If necessary, we’ll even have someone from our Occupational Health or the Health and Safety team work with you on workplace adjustments.
