Ronen Barel

Ronen is the Chairman of EY Israel. Having started his career with EY as an intern, he slowly moved his way up to leading positions, becoming an audit partner in Ernst & Young – Israel in 1991. In 2000, he was appointed Managing Partner of the Israeli practice, a role he held until 2007, when he became Regional Managing Partner and Chairman.

Ronen earned a BA in Accounting and Economics from Hebrew University. He is a Certified Public Accountant.

How Ronen is building a better working world 

“Being a market leader does not only refer to the business aspects but also to the social ones. I encourage my employees in the organization to be socially involved, contribute and volunteer in the community. I make sure to provide a personal example.”

Outside of EY, Ronen is currently a member of the university’s board, allowing him the opportunity to give back to the place which has helped pave his career path.
