Kathy is a Director in the Financial Services Law team.
Kathy has 12 years experience as a financial services lawyer. She worked as Judge’s Associate in the New South Wales Supreme Court before working at a top-tier Sydney firm and also for the Australian corporate regulator.
Kathy has extensive experience in providing commercial legal advice to superannuation funds, banks and insurers on regulatory and prudential requirements, transactions including successor fund transfers, regulatory change, corporate governance and risk and compliance. She also has a particular interest in advising on fees and costs disclosure under Regulatory Guide 97: Disclosing fees and costs in PDSs and periodic statements.
Kathy holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws with first class honours from the Australian National University.
In 2020 she was a finalist in the Senior Associate of the Year category in the Women in Law Awards and in 2022 is a finalist in the Special Counsel of the Year category in the Australian Law Awards.
