With 20 years of experience in sectors that include financial services, telecom, pension fund, and retail, Alex is accomplished in leveraging data, advanced analytics, machine learning, and technology strategy to solve complex business problems. Before joining the EY organization, he led a major company’s Canadian National Business Analytics and Optimization service line and a Big Four’s Financial Services Technology practice.
At the EY organization, he successfully built practices and established the organization as a top-tier Data and AI service provider across Canada. Alex has played an influential role as a lead business advisor in a major insurance company's $700 million transformation and served as interim SVP leading critical integrations at a major telecommunications company and financial institution. His experience also extends to implementing AI and analytics strategies and designing supporting data systems and warehouses for large financial institutions.
Alex earned his BS in Computer Science from York University.
