David Larocca, EY Regional Managing Partner and CEO for Oceania today welcomed the announcement of 45 new partners to the Ernst & Young, Australia (EY Australia) partnership.
This includes 24 internal promotions to partner and 21 direct admit appointments to partner (appointed through the 2024 financial year).
With promotions effective 1 July 2024, EY Australia also promoted 11 Associate Partners across the Assurance, Strategy & Transactions, Tax and Consulting service lines.
David Larocca said, ‘It’s been a tough market for professional services – but this demonstrates our continuing commitment to investing in outstanding leaders to secure the long-term future of the firm.
On achieving gender balance, David Larocca said, ‘While we had fewer female candidates to consider for partnership in 2024, achieving 40 per cent women in our partnership by 2027 remains a priority for the EY member firms in Oceania. We remain committed to identifying and removing structural barriers women face when pursuing leadership roles.’
‘When interviewing our newest partners, we were inspired by the diverse slate of leaders rising up to lead our firm . Their backgrounds, perspectives and passion for our services are energising.’
On the qualities the new promotes bring to EY, David Larocca said, ‘Each of these individuals has consistently demonstrated an outstanding commitment to integrity, outstanding client service and leading diverse teams – while continuing to grow our services and build our inclusive and equitable culture.
‘Our people are what sets EY apart. Their ability to challenge convention, solve our clients’ complex problems, inspire our people and contribute to our communities, means they’re advancing EY’s purpose of Building a Better Working World.’
