Kenji Kasahara is an EY Japan Tax partner, and joined the firm in 2002. He has circa 20 years of experience in transfer pricing, and has provided various advisory services to many multinationals on the development of transfer price policy and documentation, investigation response, and Advance Pricing Agreement (APA). He is also experienced in numerous mutual agreement procedures with Japanese tax authorities (NTA), and worked on a wide range of projects not only between Japan and the US but also with the UK, Australia, South Korea and China, etc.
Prior to joining EY Japan, he was engaged in analysis of US markets macroeconomics and industry analysis of international transactions by multinationals at a Japanese accounting office and financial research institute.
His international experience includes 5 years in Shanghai from 2005 to 2010 and 3 years spent in New York from 1991 to 1994.
He is also a published author in Japanese on subjects related to international tax especially on transfer pricing.
He is an economics graduate of the University of Tokyo, Japan.
