Richard is the Head of Innovation & Experience Design and a Director in EY’s Customer Transformation practice. Since joining EY, he has specialised in large-scale Digital Transformation Programmes across government, media, finance, energy and transport. Richard helps organisations to make the transition to digital more easily by bringing a broad blend of digital experience and skills to transformation projects, including digital product design, digital strategy, product management, customer experience design, communications and technical delivery. He has over 15 years’ experience leading and managing digital programmes. In addition, Richard has 20 years' experience working in communications, with exceptional experience in stakeholder management and the articulation of a strategic vision and business objectives focused on digital transformation.
Prior to joining EY, Richard gained a broad set of experience including producing internationally recognised animated TV series for the likes of the BBC, creating award winning mobile games and designing large learning management systems, before assuming roles in innovation where he advised senior management on go/no go decisions related to new product and service ideas.
He is a proven entrepreneur and innovator and was the co-founder and CEO of the award-winning digital media company Studio POWWOW. He likes to say that he sits at the intersection of Business Strategy, Experience Design and Communications and his USP is in crafting, simple, impactful stories that can influence clients and stakeholders to buy into a vision and design innovative new products and services that have a higher chance of success and beat the competition..
