Fidelma Clarke is a Partner and Prudential Risk lead in the Financial Services Business Risk Consulting practice in Dublin advising and supporting global EY clients on all aspects of corporate governance and compliance with European prudential regulations, including the EU Green Deal and the EU Taxonomy.

She was seconded to the Sustainable Markets Initiative (SMI) in September 2020, an initiative of His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales which is co-chaired by Brian Moynihan, the global Chairman and CEO of Bank of America. The SMI, launched at Davos in January 2020, is a network of global CEOs working with common purpose to build sustainable economies that will harness the power of Nature, powered by the innovation and resources of the private sector.  The mandate of the SMI is set out in the Terra Carta, published in January 2021, which sets out a roadmap towards accelerated Nature, People and Planet-friendly transition pathways at investor, industry and business level.

Fidelma is also a member of the EY Island of Ireland Steer Cos on both Sustainability and Diversity and Inclusion.

Before joining EY Fidelma worked in the banking industry for 25 years, gaining deep experience in governance and risk management at c-suite level and has held both executive and non-executive directorship roles in financial services firms. 

She holds an M.Litt. in Economics from Trinity College Dublin.
