We operate an open access policy, meaning we don’t screen out applications on your academic performance alone.

England and Northern Ireland: You will, need a minimum of grade 4/C GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths, or in your home language if you do not hold English Language GCSE, and to have completed three A-levels or (equivalent e.g. BTEC Nationals) by the time the programme starts.

Scotland: You will need a minimum grade C National 5 (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths, or in your home language if you do not hold English Language GCSE, and be working towards completing 5 Highers or be working towards a SCQF Level 6/7 by the time the programme starts.

We welcome applications from all academic backgrounds and are looking for individuals who will succeed at EY in the desired role and future qualifications, therefore throughout our recruitment process your academic performance will be considered against your online assessment scores to determine your suitability for an EY role. We are also proud to partner with RARE recruitment,  so that your application can be processed in the context of your socio-economic background. This allows us to give you the maximum credit for your achievements, assessing whether you have overachieved in light of your personal circumstances.

It is therefore important that you provide us with your top three obtained or accurately predicted A-Levels (or equivalent) as these will be verified and considered as part of the offer process should you be successful. Any drop in grades could jeopardise your offer of employment.

To apply for an apprenticeship you should be:

• Not be undertaking any other publicly-funded education or training when starting your apprenticeship

And either:

• Be a UK or EEA national and have resided in the UK or EEA for at least 3 years prior to starting your apprenticeship, or

• Be a non-UK, non-EEA national and have resided in the UK for at least 3 years prior to starting your apprenticeship, or

• Hold another immigration status such as refugee status or indefinite leave to remain

Through Assurance and our market leading Audit services, you’ll further the public interest by proactively addressing stakeholders’ needs for trust and confidence in businesses and the capital markets. You’ll quickly learn how we deliver such trust and confidence via our data driven audit, at a global scale and across a hugely diverse portfolio of clients (which includes private businesses, listed businesses, financial services organisations and government organisations). 

You’ll spend time working within both audit and specialist data and analytics teams, being trained in and then experiencing how we deploy and apply some of the world’s most advanced and emerging audit technologies. You’ll experience how this audit technology is used, for example, to understand business processes; to identify and respond to key risks; to create audit evidence and to drive meaningful business insights. You’ll work across a wide variety industry sectors and have the opportunity to work within our Digital Assurance Transformation team, who focus on internal projects that ensure we maintain our market leading reputation.

Today, IT and data management are such an integral part of our client's operations that even the smallest mistake or security breach can have a substantial impact on their reputation and business performance. Our teams work closely with some of the world’s biggest financial organisations on key IT issues, helping them assess, transform and monitor their risks and controls, either as stand-alone services or alongside our Consulting colleagues. Apprentices who join will be based in our Consuting Service Delivery (CSD) Centre in Newcastle.
