Kostas is a Partner at EY’s Assurance Services in Greece, serving as EY’s Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) Leader in the country.
He is the EY Partner in charge of large implementation projects of new International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), such as IFRS 9, IFRS 16, and IFRS 17. He focuses on the Financial Services sector, specializing in financial instruments accounting, valuations and hedging under IFRS 9.
Before joining EY, Kostas had been an assurance partner at a professional services firm, also serving as Head of Treasury & Financial Instruments.
He has 18 years of professional experience as a statutory auditor, having audited some of the largest banks and insurance companies in Greece.
Kostas is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Greece (SOEL), registered with ELTE (Greek CPA).
He holds an MPhil in International Finance from the University of Glasgow and a B.Sc. in Economics from the Athens University of Economics and Business.
