AI - Tax Technology and Transformation at EY

The world of Financial Services (FS) Tax is undergoing a fundamental and long-term evolution as tax authorities globally seek to digitise existing tax regimes. In parallel, they are introducing new, wide ranging, complex and data-intensive tax regulations to increase tax transparency, drive more efficient compliance and insight, and increase tax revenues to fund governmental initiatives.

Technology

In our FS Tax Technology and Transformation (TTT) team, we help our clients adapt to this rapidly changing tax landscape through:

  • Data strategy - advising clients on their firm wide data strategy, to enhance their current and future state compliance effectiveness.
  • Creating scale, control and efficiency for clients by designing and implementing new operating models for tax and finance that leverage cutting edge technologies.
  • Developing and implementing innovative technology assets to solve our clients specific tax needs.

What will you be doing?

  • Generating large databases from various sources of structured and unstructured data.
  • Analysing tax and financial data, and generating statistical information to identify trends and patterns.
  • Understanding the phases of product delivery and analyses across product life cycles, running the analysis for each stage and contributing to decision making.
  • Using a range of programming languages to transform big data into data sets.
  • Translating tax technical data to simple language and giving recommendations and conclusions to your manager.
  • Developing interactive dashboards that combine visuals with real-time data.
  • Working alongside tax technical colleagues to understand requirements and refine the data sets.
