EY financial advisor to Helios in divestment of Swedish 252 MW solar PV portfolio to Hafslund

EY has acted as financial advisor to Helios Nordic Energy AB (“Helios”) in their divestment of a portfolio of seven solar PV projects totaling 252 MW.

Helios is one of the leading developers of utility scale solar PV in Sweden and the Nordics with a pipeline in excess of 5.5 GW and with recent entries into Finland, Norway and the Baltics. As part of their current strategy Helios has agreed to divest a portfolio of seven solar PV projects to Hafslund, the Norwegian utility. This is Helios largest transaction to date.

The projects will be delivered as they reach “ready-to-build” stage and Helios will be responsible for construction management and Technical and commercial management.

The transaction fits Hafslund’s strategy to expand its footprint in renewable generation capacity and also expand in Sweden.

EY's dedicated Nordic energy corporate finance team advised Helios through a highly competitive M&A process generating strong interest from Swedish and international investors. This is EYs second sell-side transaction for Helios.
