“It’s a dynamic time for the energy sector, with all kinds of uncertainties. The markets are volatile, but the transition to sustainable energy sources is in full swing. You need to know a sector like this through-and-through. That’s why I can challenge our clients to look in the mirror - how can I deal successfully with these uncertainties so that the company can constantly improve?”
How Jeroen is building a better working world
“I like the complexity of these challenges. It’s often a question of large estimates, which is why assurance is still topical. I find the social significance to be important too. We’re making a contribution to the global energy discussion, but as EY we also offer a huge platform for young talent. Enthusiastic professionals gain a great deal of experience with us. I enjoy motivating them, but they motivate me too - to learn every day.”
