How would I like to be helped myself? That’s my criterion for providing the highest quality.

Cyrille Prevaes

EY Netherlands Partner Tax

Energetic. Enthusiastic. Connects people. He works continuously at achieving an open, good client relationship, and likes keeping clients up-to-date on relevant fiscal (international) news.

Areas of focus

Cyrille Prevaes offers international companies (specifically in the oil and gas sector) support in all their fiscal and business needs, whether they want to change their strategies themselves, or need to anticipate changing local, regional or global legislation.

He studied fiscal economics at Maastricht University, followed by a master’s in International Tax Law at the University of Utrecht. He has worked at EY since 2003 and is also a member of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisers (NOB).

“How would I like to be helped myself? That’s my criterion for providing the highest quality. I think cooperation is important to achieve this. I’m not simply the adviser, we work together with the client as a team. Open, honest communication is then a given. I always bring fiscal developments - both positive and negative - to the client’s attention as quickly as possible, including a plan for the approach and steps to take.”

How Cyrille is building a better working world

“My clients are mainly based in America, Canada and Russia. I travel a lot and meet all kinds of different people from a range of cultures. That gives me terrific energy. And it’s informative. Our direct, Dutch style of communication doesn’t work everywhere. I now know how to approach clients throughout the world so that we can achieve the desired result together.”
