Bea Haring makes sure that all 15,000 EY employees in the Western Europe and Maghreb region can develop in the best way. In addition, she has a client portfolio and advises organizations on their international personnel.
She studied fiscal law at the University of Leiden and has been working at EY since 1990. Before her current role, she was, among other things, Markets Leader and Talent Leader for EY in Belgium and the Netherlands. In addition to her work at EY, she is a member of the board of the Dutch "Zeldzame Ziekten Fonds", a fund that raises money for research on rare diseases.
“I love getting the best out of those around me. That also ties in perfectly with our purpose of Building A Better Working World, because that’s also all about people. Who are you? Where are you at in life? Because you bring your personality into your professional life too. I want all employees to get the best possible experience at our organization. This means personal development, career opportunities and a good culture, but also, for example, well-being. You need to feel comfortable in yourself, and have a good balance between work and other things that matter to you.”
How Bea is building a better working world
“In the Netherlands alone, we employ about a thousand new graduates every year. This make EY a significant employer in our society. I feel responsible for making sure that employees are happy - that’s my contribution to society. What else do I enjoy? Working together with all these young people, as well as at clients. They’re incredibly enthusiastic, engaged, and socially-oriented. Inspirational and instructive.”
