EY acted as the exclusive investment banker to TIPSE India
EY acted as the exclusive financial advisor to the shareholders of TIPSE India Private Limited (TIPSE) in divesting their majority shareholding to International Schools Partnership (ISP). The transaction garnered interest from various domestic as well as international school operators over the course. Given the K-12 schools regulations in India, and the acquirer being a foreign entity, it was a challenging transaction with a significant amount of deal structuring and negotiations involved.
This is one of the marquee transactions in the K-12 education space and places us in a good position to tap other potential opportunities in this segment. Good quality assets will continue to get interest from global players. Kudos to the team that worked on the building a solid relationship with the sponsors and delivering the transaction.
