EY NextWave data science program
Big data and cloud is the foundation of NextWave data science program and helps NextWave data applications such as AI, machine learning and forms of advanced analytics (e.g. predictive analytics) to analyze data to predict future events – technologies that were once inaccessible using traditional data architecture.
Customer intelligence
- We build AI-powered customer intelligence solutions to bring innovation to the customer space and to address challenges EY clients are facing with customer management.
- We support EY clients in managing the whole customer lifecycle, considering strategy, the business model and the operations. This is about attracting the right customers, unlocking value of the existing ones, optimizing the channel mix to provide an excellent service and facilitating the retention of the right customers.
Document intelligence
- Machines today are designed to perform tasks faster than humans, enabling more time to be available to analyze and apply human judgement to areas needing more focus. Despite this, automating certain parts of processes can be challenging as it is for physical documentation that contains valuable data still used.
Under this area we group our capabilities for document intelligence that provide solutions to automatically extract data fields from unstructured documents, that can be on paper, such as scanned contract, or in other supports, like voice recording. - Client triggers
Smart Information Retrieval Engine (SIRE) seeks to help solve part of the data silo problem by allowing automatic extraction of valuable data buried in unstructured documents. This data is then made analyzable by digitizing and indexing the documents. The solution automatically classifies them which makes them searchable. - Benefits
SIRE has already provided significant savings to EY clients, compared to the cost of manual and repetitive document processing, freeing up employees’ time to focus on higher value activities and data analysis.
The solution is highly reliable. By reducing human interaction, the risk of errors reduces and efficiency is improved. It assists in decision-making to maximize growth, increase business value and maintain trust.
No change to Information Technology (IT) systems is required, as SIRE works with the client’s existing IT landscape.
Innovation for assurance
We aim at helping drive innovation through technology in assurance, moving from sampling check to the possibility of analyzing a complete data set on a specific subject, through data analytics, while using virtual reality to support visualization and sharing conclusions in a compelling way. We create, for example, solutions for blockchain transactions verification, documents management and chat bots for disseminating new accounting standards in a consistent way.
Innovation for risk
- Our goal is to bring innovation to the risk domain and provide service to EY clients through AI, advanced analytics, cloud technology, VR and AR.
- We give advice and build solutions for model development, model validation and model transparency; data quality, data lineage and data virtualization; RegTech companies and RegTech solutions.
