Lars Rhod Søndergaard is a Partner and the Head of EY Financial Services in Danmark. He is also a member of EY’s Nordic Financial Services Management Team.
Lars has over 25 years of experience in auditing and advising financial enterprises, including overseas postings in London and Switzerland. He is a Statutory Auditor and certified by the Danish Financial Services Authority to endorse financial reports from credit institutions and insurance companies.
He been the leading audit partner for a large number of companies in the industry. In addition, he has advised financial enterprises in combination with purchases and sales, as well as with regard to accounting and regulatory issues.
As Chairman of the Financial Committee of Danish Auditors (FINU), Lars is the union’s representative at meetings with the Danish Financial Services Authority, Finance Denmark, F&P and the Danish Ministry of Industry, Business and Financial Affairs.
Lars is passionate about making EY’s competences available to deserving causes and he is committed to EY’s CSR programme, with especial emphasis on Den Social Kapitalfond (the Social Capital Foundation) and the Kwera organisation.
