It is more important than ever for organizations to create an environment where employees feel they belong while also celebrating and recognizing uniqueness. This is fundamental to building an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive, and innovation can flourish.
Therefore, we believe in harnessing the power of different perspectives and cultures, and we appreciate and recognize our various backgrounds as a vital source of inspiration.
An example of how we strive to include, represent and celebrate different cultures is our employee resource group on the topic of "ethnicity, race and faith.” In our group, we enrich our understanding of this subject by collecting valuable data, such as individuals' nationalities and birth countries. This enables us to customize our internal services, like offering tailored local language courses and ensuring we respect and celebrate the significant holidays of various cultures by not putting important events on them. But first and foremost, we create awareness around different cultural traditions that we wish to acknowledge such as Ramadan, Eid and Diwali.
But our commitment doesn't stop at awareness. In the Nordic countries, we've established a welcoming network for our international colleagues. We offer a deep dive into Nordic work culture and language lessons, ensuring that every new member of our family, along with their loved ones, feels right at home in their new surroundings.
EY Denmark (EY Godkendt Revisionspartnerselskab) warmly welcomes international staff and their families, ensuring a smooth transition to life in Denmark. We offer the partners of our employees a membership of the International Dual Career Network (IDCN), connecting them with a global community of 117 entities. IDCN serves as a gateway to professional opportunities, networking with industry professionals, and gaining insights into the local job market and culture. It's more than a career boost; it's a chance to make new friends and be part of a social and supportive network of international professionals who also moved to Denmark with their partner.
