Press contact

Collaboration set to reshape the leadership landscape, equipping women with opportunities for upskilling, career advancement and leadership roles in artificial intelligence (AI), cloud and cybersecurity.

In a move that is designed to reshape the future of leadership and workforce dynamics, EY Global Consulting and Women in Cloud have announced a collaboration aimed at accelerating leadership, upskilling and development for women in AI, cloud and cybersecurity. This collaboration is positioned to help dismantle barriers and create a pipeline of female leaders equipped to navigate and excel in the digital age.

Building leaders for a digital tomorrow

Through this collaboration with Women in Cloud, which is part of the EY Women in Tech Program, the EY organization will expand their already existing initiatives focused on empowering women with the necessary skills, resources, and opportunities to ascend to leadership positions across industries.

EY established its Global Women in Tech Program in 2020, which has a track record of advancing gender equity in technology. Highlights from this program include:

  • Launch of the EY STEM App providing free access to STEM learning to over 85,000 girls from 18 countries across the globe
  • Creation of an internal EY Women in Tech network of 40 communities across 150 countries
  • The roll out of learning and development opportunities in emerging technologies including AI to members and allies

With organizations increasingly prioritizing investments in generative technologies like AI, as well as enhancing their data management and cybersecurity capabilities, developing and upskilling talent in these areas is critical for futureproofing our workforce. The collaboration with Women in Cloud will offer tailored leadership development programs, mentorship opportunities, and access to a network of female industry leaders and influencers investing in areas of AI, cloud and cybersecurity technologies, providing them with opportunities to be better equipped for the changing work landscape.

Cultivating skills for a future-ready workforce

Addressing the critical skills gap in the tech industry, this collaboration will also emphasize workforce development. Innovative training programs and workshops designed by leading experts will allow women to acquire cutting-edge skills in technology, leadership, and business management.

A commitment to inclusion and representation

EY and Women in Cloud are committed to fostering an inclusive environment that supports the growth and development of women. By providing tools and platforms for women to succeed, this collaboration not only benefits the individuals involved but also enhances the organizations they serve and the broader economy, aligning with the EY purpose of building a better working world.

Amanda Gethin, EY Global Consulting Talent Lead says:

“At EY, we recognize that the future of work must be an inclusive one. By joining forces with Women in Cloud, we are not only investing in women's leadership but also driving innovation and excellence across industries.”

Pat Sullivan, EY Global Digital Engineering Lead, added:

“Together with Women in Cloud, we are creating a supportive ecosystem that nurtures women's leadership and amplifies their impact in the tech industry and beyond. This collaboration will add value to clients through influencing the creation and delivery of technology without bias.”

Chaitra Vedullapalli, Founder & President of Women in Cloud, added:

“EY stands as a beacon of excellence, championing gender equity through its acclaimed Women in Tech program. By collaborating with Women in Cloud (WIC), EY is amplifying its dedication to fostering diversity in critical fields such as cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (AI). This collaboration not only enhances innovation and drives the AI powered economy but also ensures the development of ethical policies, reinforcing EY’s commitment to a diverse and inclusive technological future.”
