Diana Nikolaeva is Partner, heading the Strategy and Transactions (Strategy and Transactions) offering in EY Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Albania and Kosovo. She is leading the Quality & Risk Management function in CESA region. She joined EY in 1999 and was presented with the opportunity to build EY’s Strategy and Transactions business across Bulgaria. Having been promoted several times, Diana became partner in 2005.
Diana has over 28 years of extensive experience in business valuation, corporate management, M&A, financial analysis and investment consulting, restructuring and privatization, and financial due diligence services. She is also responsible for the leadership of all the transaction-related offering in EY Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Albania, and Kosovo in banking and finance, insurance, transport, telecommunications, infrastructure, real estate, manufacturing, energy, and many more.
Diana is involved in projects in Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic, the Baltics countries, Croatia, Romania, Serbia, Greece and Turkey.
Diana has advised public and private entities investment analysis, privatization, mergers and acquisitions since the early 1990s. Some of the latest projects of hers are related with airline operators, banks such as the European Central Bank, European Investment Bank, insurance companies and pension funds, consumer finance, and more.
Diana holds a master’s degree in International Economic Relations from the University of National and World Economy and is a fellow of the Pew Economic Freedom Fellows Program - Georgetown University, Washington D.C., USA.
Diana is a member of the CFA Institute, a CFA Charter holder, as well as a licensed business appraiser in a number of countries.
