On September 13-14, 2024, the Russian-Armenian University (RAU) hosted the International Civil Law Forum to mark the 20th anniversary of the Civil Law and Civil Procedure Department at RAU’s Institute of Law.

As part of the event, Grigor Grigoryan, Manager of Legal Practice at EY Armenia, was a featured speaker during the panel titled "Legal Challenges and Opportunities for Business Today" on September 14, 2024. The discussion explored essential legal issues faced by startups and venture funds, including the structuring of investments, the application of antitrust laws to tech giants and digital platforms.

The speakers discussed the legal obstacles that are particularly pertinent to the business sector in Armenia. 
In particular, alternative methods for disputes resolutions were discussed, which are essential for maintaining a fluid and less contentious business environment. The experts also navigated through the present-day issues within the corporate and labor law, which are critical for the governance and workforce management of companies. Additionally, they explored the roles that corporate lawyers and law firms play in navigating and mitigating these legal complexities.

Additionally, Anna Tunyan, Senior Lawyer at EY Armenia, played a key role in the event’s success as a member of the forum’s organizing committee.

This event provided a platform for in-depth legal discourse and showcased EY Armenia’s commitment to addressing current legal challenges and providing forward-thinking solutions for businesses.
