Alex joined EY Romania team in 2002 as a Tax Manager and during the years, he gained considerable experience in corporate and international taxation, transfer pricing, indirect taxes including VAT and customs, tax due diligences, tax audits, developing and implementing international tax structuring, consultancy and compliance work currently in corporate taxation and investment structuring.
Actively involved in the modernization of the Romanian and CEE legislative and institutional framework in the fiscal and competition sector in line with EU requirements, he is a founding member of the Romanian Tax Consultants Chamber and its Board Member, and has numerous articles published in renowned international and national media on tax and regulatory issues as “International Tax Review”, “Euromoney”, “The Business Review” etc.
He has a BA in Economics from Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies and a BA in Law from the University of Bucharest.
Alex is an active member of the Romanian business community and is closely involved in matters of public policy and tax regulations. He is a Board Member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Romania, which is the most proficient advocacy organization in the country.
