EY Law successfully advised LiuGong Dressta Machinery Sp. z o.o.

EY Law has advised LiuGong Dressta Machinery Sp. z o.o. in a process lasting over a year, involving the sale of assets comprising a construction machinery plant to Huta Stalowa Wola S.A.

LiuGong Dressta Machinery Sp. z o.o. is a recognized, global brand in the construction machinery industry. The transaction involved the repurchase of assets that were acquired by LiuGong from Huta Stalowa Wola in 2012. As a part of the transaction, Huta Stalowa Wola also took over 574 employees – safeguarding the employment of production employees was a high priority for the parties. LiuGong relocated production of  Dressta crawler dozers and pipelayers previously built at its Stalowa Wola plant in Poland to a brand new, purpose-built facility in Changzhou, China. LiuGong continues to maintain a significant distribution and retail support presence in Stalowa Wola. A newly opened commercial hub supports LiuGong’s business operations in Europe and Dressta’s global operations. Located in new premises in the city, the hub includes parts distribution, a customer experience center, a training school, European business administration, and a Direct retail store for the Polish market.
