Magdalena Kasiarz is an attorney and restructuring advisor. For 20 years she has been advising in the field of civil, corporate and commercial contract law, provided to both Polish and foreign entities. Magdalena specializes in negotiating contracts related to merger and acquisition transactions (including transactions concerning distressed assets), reorganizations and debt restructuring, and conducting legal audits. Magdalena has also experience in investment consulting, including in the real estate and renewable energy sector.
Magdalena supervised 2 projects aimed at implementing structural reforms in Polish restructuring and insolvency law conducted on behalf of the European Commission, whose beneficiaries were the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Development and Technology. The projects aimed to support and strengthen the Polish bankruptcy and restructuring system, and redefine the framework for monitoring the financial situation in Poland. Magdalena currently supervises a similar project on behalf of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, whose beneficiaries are PFR Ventures and the Ministry of Finance, concerning the "Assessment and Action Plan for the Development of the Private Capital Ecosystem in Poland".
In her work she is guided by the responsibility for the word, putting credibility, understanding the situation of all parties and efficient communication as a key to success.
Magdalena is recognized in international legal rankings, including the Legal 500 in the categories of Commercial, Corporate and M&A, Restructuring and Insolvency, and Real Estate.
She is an author of numerous articles and legal commentaries on mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and insolvency, and a mentor in the Early Warning program.

Magdalena is building a better working world by helping companies tackle their financial and legal challenges. This is her personal mission that she works toward daily. Magdalena takes part in various pro bono initiatives and activities, mainly directed to companies in financial distress. She is also a mentor in the Early Warning Europe program.
