I am convinced that our service offerings and delivery models are faced with a revolution; the digitalization of tax administrations will make the link between tax and finance increasingly important.

Øystein Arff Gulseth

Partner, Indirect tax, EY Norway

Likes to explore and see the possibilities and potential in people with different backgrounds. Loves leading a calm life in his mountain cabin together with family and four Labradors.

Øystein is partner for the Indirect tax and global trade team in Norway. He received his law degree from the University of Oslo in 1994. He has worked in an international environment, including at the Norwegian Ministry of Finance and Norwegian Customs before joining EY in 1999. He became a partner in 2004.

International business has always been an important part of his work, and he works with a broad range of companies who conduct business outside of Norway.

How Øystein is building a better working world

"I have a fundamental belief that you must be relevant to your customers. Of course, the professional advice we provide is important, but it must be placed in a context that is relevant to the individual client. We must provide more than answers to questions posed, and our collaboration must create added value. We must work closely with those who come to us, listen more than we talk and work together to produce viable solutions".
