Martin is convinced that the way to tackle the immense challenges of transitioning to the new economy goes through unified environmental, social and governance (ESG) reporting and that building trust in the reporting through an audit is paramount.
He has a background in audit and is a State Authorized Public Accountant (Norway). He has also worked in shipping, real estate and financial institutions.
At EY, Martin has specialized in ESG reporting, specifically CSRD and EU Taxonomy.
How Martin is building a better working world
"Through my work with ESG reporting, I am building a better working world by building trust in environmental, social and governance matters. Transparent and reliable reporting is essential for financial markets to function properly. ESG matters are increasingly becoming part of the decision-making processes for most companies, and increased confidence in reported matters subsequently increases the precision of decisions. This also builds confidence in the ESG agenda and speeds up the transition to the new economy."
