Haakon is responsible for Sustainable Finance in EY Norway. He has broad experience as a project manager and subject matter expert for financial services in the Nordics, focusing on net zero transformations, anti-greenwashing and sustainability strategy.
He began his career in EY specialzing in data-driven profitability improvements for insurance companies. However, he soon realized how profitablity and sustainability often would go hand-in-hand for insurance companies, where keeping losses to a minimum is the best outcome for the insurer, customer and the planet.
Haakon has had different leadership roles within sustainable finance in EY since 2021. Currently, he heads EY’s sustainable finance services, and sits in the Nordic leadership group as Norway’s representative. Haakon holds a Master of Science in Economics and Administration from the Norwegian School of Economics, with a major in finance.
