Areas of focus

With more than 25 years of experience in domestic and international tax advisory in Tokyo and New York, Koichi is EY Japan Tax Partner.

He served on the EY Japan Tax Desk in New York from 1993 to 1997, where he provided Japanese tax advice to large multinational clients in a variety of industries.

He received a bachelor’s degree in Law from Rikkyo University.

How Koichi is building a better working world

“We are actively investing and communicating with the Japanese government to develop a better tax system for Japan. We have meetings and brainstorming sessions with government bodies where we can provide them with creative ideas, approaches and our practical experience for annual tax reform, especially in the international tax area.”
