Christophe is a tax Partner within the International Tax and Transaction Services team of EY Luxembourg.

He is focused on the tax aspects of the organization and operation of a breadth of private investment funds; distressed, mezzanine and other fixed income funds; real estate and infrastructure funds; hedge funds and other customized fund arrangements. His practice also covers the structuring of employee co-investment plans, carried interest and other compensation plans.

Christophe has joined EY again in 2017 after having worked for 8 years as a tax Partner in an international law firm. Prior to that he worked at EY in their Brussels, NY and Luxembourg offices.

Christophe holds a Master’s degree in Law from the University of Brussels, an additional business degree from the university of Leuven and holds a tax degree from the Solvay Business School in Brussels. He is a qualified lawyer and a Luxembourg certified accountant.

Luxembourg adopts various measures reducing individuals’ tax burden

On 11 December 2024, the Luxembourg Parliament approved two legislative proposals containing certain individual income tax, corporate income tax, net wealth tax and fund taxation measures. The proposed changes for individual taxpayers include a number of measures to alleviate the tax burden on households and to increase the attractiveness of Luxembourg as a workplace.

Tax Exemption on Rental Allowances – A financial boost to attract young talent

Starting 1 June 2024, a non-time limited partial tax exemption applies to the allowance paid to an employee for the purpose of renting accommodation occupied as the employee’s principal residence, provided specific conditions are met.
